Terms of Sale

D.SUNGKUR OPTOMETRIST LTD — Newry Complex, Ground Floor, St Jean Road, Quatre-Bornes, Mauritius. These terms apply to every order placed on shop.dsungkur.com.

1. Products & prices

Items sold online are authentic frames and sunglasses sourced from official distributors. Prices are shown in Mauritian rupees (Rs), VAT included. Prescription lenses are not sold online — they require an in-store consultation.

2. Payment

Payment is made by bank transfer (MCB or SBM), quoting your order number (WEB-…) as the transfer reference. Your order is reserved at checkout and confirmed once the transfer is received (usually within 1–2 business days). If payment is not received within 7 calendar days, the order may be cancelled and the item returned to sale.

3. Reserving a frame

Where prescription lenses are needed, a frame may be reserved against a payment of Rs 500 — called a "deposit" on the site and paid as earnest money (arrhes) within the meaning of article 1590 of the Civil Code. The frame is held for 14 days from the day the payment is confirmed; that period can be extended on request before it expires. The amount is deducted from your final invoice once the sale is completed. After that period the frame is returned to sale and the payment remains acquired by D.Sungkur Optometrist: no refund is made. An eye examination requested with the order is invoiced when it is carried out.

4. In-store pickup (Click & Collect)

All orders are collected at our Quatre-Bornes store during opening hours, once you receive the "ready for pickup" email. Proof of identity or your order confirmation may be requested. Frame fitting is adjusted free of charge at collection. Responsibility for the goods transfers to you at collection.

5. Insurance

Cashless facilities with our partner insurers are handled in store at collection, on presentation of your insurance card. Mention it when ordering so we can prepare your file.

6. Personal data & governing law
